I am a fable.

I am about a scorpion who asked a frog to carry him on his back across the other side of the river.

The frog refused by saying, “You are a treacherous killer. You will sting me halfway down our path.”

“I won’t. We will both die if I do that.”

Convinced, the frog let the scorpion on his back and  swam near the surface to keep him from drowning.

Halfway through their journey, the frog felt a sharp sting on his back. The scorpion did as he expected.

“Why did you do it?” The frog asked with his dying last breath.

“I cannot help it.” The scorpion replied without any hint of remorse. “It is my nature.”

A hungry stork watched as both creatures sank towards the bottom of the river.

aw. it’s a sad excuse. if we all thought this way, life would be as hobbes described it: solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short.

    hi nobe! *kaway kaway*
